Best Setting for Harman Kardon stereo w/o parametric equalizer

So I know that there is a thread for all of the owners with nav that have the parametric equalizer for their stereo, but how about those of us that just have the Harman Kardon stereo without parametric equalizer? I have tried and tried, but I cannot seem to find a "great" balance between everything.

Suggestions?

3M Clearbra 18 on hood, front bumper, headlights, foglights, strip above windshield, mirrors, and door handle cups, 27% tint on front driver-side and passenger-side windows, WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit mats for both the 1st and 2nd rows, Sportwing color-matched body side molding, C&C Carworx front license plate bracket, 19mm STI rear sway bar, CalTrend NeoSupreme Seat Covers for 1st row, and CoverCraft custom sun shade

Something I do is to adjust the fader to the rear until you can hear all the speakers mine I think is on R3 and then start adjusting the treble/middle and bass until you like what you hear. I will usually put in a cd of my favorite band when I do this so I am familiar with the music.
