Default Emergency Brake Sticker - Safe to Remove?

The large sticker explaining how to operate the electronic emergency brake (on the dash to the left of the steering wheel) annoys me for some reason. I'd like to remove it but I'm afraid it'll leave a sticky residue on the dash.

Has anyone attempted to remove this sticker?

Easy to do! Peel it off (comes off in pieces), then use Goo Gone on the residue. It takes a little time to get it all off. But it all comes off with no sign of that tacky sticker left behind. No damage to underlying plastic, at least in my case. I also took off the bright sticker facing the door on the lower dashboard, and the warning on the outside roof rail the same way.

I warmed mine up a bit using a hair dryer, got it off in one piece and stuck it to the inside cover of my owner's manual. I don't know if I'll ever look at it, but I still have it. As the previous poster mentioned, Goo B Gone takes care of the leftover glue.

I pulled it right off, used a bit of standard plastic cleaner, and it's good as new. However, that stuff is STICKY so using a hair-dryer to heat it up my help a bit as recommended by chrisi

Consider the sticker as the same as the tag you find on your mattress, "Do not remove under penalty of law".
Oh the agony, the sticker removal cops will find you.
Humor aside, those stickers were mandated by Subaru's product liability attorneys and probably our federal bureaucracy.

Well, not quite the same. If you lend your mattress to a friend,
s/he will prolly know how to use it, without the owners manual.
