You get better results if you take the grille off of the car and apply the plastidip that way. That's what I did

PS: what wheels did you get? Haven't seen your car.
Very good man just curious thats all. LED throw much more light with far less power. But like you said

I picked up the Motegi Racing MR118 Wheels on stock tires until they wear out.

Here is a pic from the other day. I am thinking about dipping the mirror backs next.

Looks good man now do that chrome strip too! Do it on the car so you don't have to take all that stuff off again

Thanks for the advice, but it turned out fine after the touch up.

Well, I orded some headlight covers from Australia knowing that they may not fit...but took the chance anyway. There is good and bad news about this. The covers do fit the way they are supposed to. The caveat however is that the mounting hardware...or one piece of it does not.

The covers are clipped in at the bottom between the light and the bumper through that seam. That works. The top is held on by a metal clip that clips inside the engine bay and comes out over the light and hooks onto the cover. This piece does not fit as the space over the light on our model is longer than the JDM/Austrailian model due to different light manufacturers.

I have some ideas on how to attach at this point, but any ideas would also be welcome. Heck...I would be happy to put a little zip tie there. wouldn't look pretty but it would work.

You can see the covers are very nice indeed. However, since it is winter and the temps are around -10 C...this is one add on that is going to wait until it warms up a little.

I had my dealer re-program auto lock door feature so that when I touch the door handle (or press once the unlock button on key FOB) all doors open. By deafult, only the door that's touched opens that door. Likewise, one click on FOB only opens driver's door, by default. I was looking over the shoulder of SUBARU technician that plugged in the laptop into my OB. My next re-program will be the feature that enables automatic closure of anything that is left open like any windows (including sunroof) by pressing once the lock button on key FOB or pressing the rubber locking button on door handles.

Those headlight covers up in Canada are worth it... I had my share of broken headlights and golf size hole in the windshield on my drives to Dawson City (from Calgary/Edmonton) not to mention the Dempsey Highway ... highway to ****! After a few oncoming high speed trucks with flying rocks, I learned to pull over to the ditch and cover my head until the truck passed....at that time I drove Suburbans; ferry raft, across Yukon River (in Dawson City) to top of the world highway to a small place called Chicken. But I always made it; 4400 miles non-stop from Los Angeles to Fairbanks, AK (2 drivers). Truly the great Canadian North! Love those roads - love that country!

hmmm, those headlight covers are interesting. with all the logging roads i drive on and considering all the non roads i drive on, those covers may not be a bad idea. from australia, huh? how much and where did you get?

...They were about $90.00 AU + shipping...about $$55.00 AU. I had someone purchase them for me but I am sure that if you contacted a dealership they would do it for you.

As I said... the top metal clip does not fit correctly...I kinda figured this would be the case but got them anyway. I have some ideas for this attachment point...even looking at something as simple as a zip tie...lol. but I am going to wait until the weather warms up so that I can do it properly without getting frostbite on my fingers. -10 C today (14 F).
