Question Auto headlight sensitivity

Hi.. Does anyone know how to adjust the sensitivity of auto headlights? As per the owner's manual, this can be done by the dealer. I was wondering if I can do it myself. Right now, with my headlight switch set to "auto", as soon as I pass under a bridge (even for a second), the headlights switch "On". I would like to extend that time to maybe 2-3 seconds.

Mine does the same thing under a bridge. It is a bit weird. I wonder if the adjustment is a light sensitivity or a timer change. Find out if we can adjust the sensitivity but I'll bet the computer has to be programmed for something like that and the dealer is the one to do it with a special tool. I'll ask about it when I bring my car in for the steering wheel shimmy problem on Tuesday.

Just curious, but why do you want to adjust it? Mine is the same way, but it doesn't seem to be a bad thing. I think it's a little funny how sensitive it is, but can't see a negative to it.

On owner's manual, it said default setting of Auto on headlight is normal.
And possible settings are Low/Normal/High/Very high.

So, Is there any way to access these settings without a trip to the dealer?

Haven't noticed it on a tree-lined street, but can definitely confirm that it behaves this way going under an overpass for a second. It's annoying. I would think that cars in front would see it as you flashing your headlights at them.
