As I have previously posted on this thread several times, I own Subaru and bought my warranty from Roto Subaru. I started posting on this thread after realizing that my local dealer was asking over a thousand dollars more than what I could get the same warranty for. My brother suggested I shop around, so I did. I found Roto and Mastria recommended on the Edmunds web site. Another reason I have kept posting is that the dealer that you recommend gave me quotes several hundred dollars more than I was able to get elsewhere. Simple as that. I will quit posting here as this thread has become a waste of time and has descended into name-calling and petty accusations. Caveat emptor (let the buyer beware). |

Good to know that you are not affiliated (a cheap shot on my behalf, for that I apologize). Appears as you and I have the same goals, albeit different recommendations. I will, and always have agreed that Roto provides a better "deal". Mastria is also a very good dealership regarding a SAS purchase.
The overall objective, I believe for both you and I is to inform the consumer that the retail price and that presented by many dealers is above what many would consider as reasonable. I really hate that you are quitting; however, that being said, I will continue to include your comments regarding Roto in my responses. I do not recommend anything; however, present some examples for what the going rate should be. I also am tired of the bantering.. We will see what shall become of this. Gary |

I should note that I haven't bought the warranty (yet), so I can't vouch for their service or ease of transaction, but I popped by the finance manager's office when I was in for the recall before Christmas, but West Houston Subaru quoted me $1488 all in for 7/100/0 Gold.
I have a 15k oil change scheduled for this weekend and will see if their price has gone up. I should note that I didn't buy my Subaru from them (came in from out of state) and their service pricing is middling (they want $200 for their 15k package) - so I don't know how much they'll flex on their pricing. My warranty purchase will probably happen mid-year, once I know whether I'm moving again this summer or not. |

The problem is taxes. I called another place that was $1400, but with taxes they bumped up to $1495. Not much of a difference, a penny saved is a penny earned (except at my local CU branch, which apparently doesn't carry coinage).

Just took delivery on a 2013 Outback 3.6R Limited with special appearance package. Was offered the 3 year prepaid maintenance for $800 and 60k/6yr extended warranty with $50 deductible for $1000. Is this a good deal? Also interested in 70/7 with $0 deductible. What would be a good price for that?
Mr. G-Omaha, sir: Could you please send me some info? Thanks! |

Just joined, so my apologies to post here without introduction. Just took delivery of a 2013 2.5 Premium and looking to extend the warranty to 100K miles.
Mr G-Omaha, can you please PM me the warranty information? Thanks! Eugene |
