GasGuzz, There is a 7/70 Gold Plus plan available with no deductible for $1,215. I considered both of these plans and decided on the less expensive one (7/70 w/$50 ded) for whatever reason.

Slightly off topic, but we purchased a 6/60,000 (0$ deductible at $984) at the time of the car purchase. Does anyone know if you are able to extend that before it expires in either time or mileage and how much that might cost?

No experience, but I don’t see how you can extend it per se. I’m aware it has a pro-rata clause, and wouldn’t be surprised you surrendered it for a new contract.

Im looking to get a gold plus 7/8 year 120,000 mile 0 ded warranty...cant seem to see them anywhere though...

Right now how im going ill hit 100000 before 3 years...but life changes, people move, people change jobs and i dont want to get a 5 year 100000. but then in 5 years i only have 50000 and i just wasted a grand.
I commute an hour everyday right now. Plan to move in 3 months, so then I will only have a 10 minute commute in town. So a serious cut down in miles......who knows...i dont know what i will need as of yet.

Yeah, that's why it would be good to know if you can extend the warranty before it expires. Right now we are on track to put on less than 10,000 miles a year, but who knows?

I just got off the phone with Don at mastria. He told me $1495 for the 7 year 100000 gold plus 0 deductable, That you are able to do in payments for 10 months interest free. $149.50 a month

I asked him about you and he say you cannot extent the extened plan. But you can cancel if and got some if not all of you money back. He said its prorated buy subaru i believe. He said that if you cancel with in 90 days you get 100% back....after that its up to subaru. Im sure if you tell them that you just going to buy a longer one they might give you 100% since it would make them more money.

Also Subaru does not sell anything longer then 7 years 100,000.

The gold plus plan includes wear and tear on things that arent normally covered. I particularly asked him about wear and tear on seats and he said its covered as long as its wear and tear and not from a dog or something.(my plan is to replace seat covers and cushions before plan exprires get back my new car smell )

I wish i could buy a car once every 2 months just so i can have the new car smell all the time!

For you Green if i were you maybe see if you can get a 7/70000 as long as you DONT loose money. If you might loose money then just forget it and be happy with what ya got ...But for the price you got it for...id just stay with what you have and have peice of mind your good for the next 6 years

if you want to do your 90-day plan return, who do you contact, SOA or your dealer?

Radar, I don't know for certain but if I were going to return my plan for a refund, I would first contact the dealer from whom it was purchased. The dealer might have to contact SOA for approval.
