keep a tarp or towel to cover the engine compartment, the black hood gasket clips are slippery. I have one lost somewhere in the engine bay, but the dealership was nice enough to order the entire gasket so I could get the replacement clips. That was important because I reused the clips to attach the hood protector beause the white clips that come with the kit broke rather easily.

Other than that, it's a really easy job. Outside of looking for the clip, it took me about 15 minutes. Just remember, measure before you tighten when it comes to the plastic protector stickers.

I've had my hood protector on for about a year now, no complaints. However you may want to remove it every once in awhile to clean under the foam. I took mine off to do the 3M clear bra and was very surprised to see that the adhesive on the foam had collected all kinds of debris and it was rubbing on the hood. If this is left for a long time it would surely scratch up the paint. Once you have everything lined up, taking it off really isn't a big deal.

that's good intel. Was wanting it instead of dropping 1K on 3M film. I know the bumper will take hits and that's life, but it's cheaper to repaint that than the hood.

I'm getting the bonnet protector here in Australia with mine (ETA 18 Feb). It looks a bit different, but should hopefully go nice with Pearl White:



I had a similar to that on my Accord Euro, until it broke off in an auto dryer (bad idea - don't do the same thing). Zero chips on the bonnet before, a couple have shown up after losing it -- so hopefully it'll do a good job on the OB too.

I'm also getting the headlight protectors (below + a bit above) but will skip the foglight ones as it from the picture it looks like a real job to clean.

Here it is installed ... this is OEM Australian bonnet protector (and headlight ones). The mount is substantially more solid (actual screws) than the one I got for my old Accord Euro / Acura TSX. Also the gap is much smaller, so cleaning will be interesting. However I reckon it looks great.
