Subaru made the grille on the 3rd gen perfect on it's last two years, how did they come up with the idea that the chrome mustache and painted grille-bars would look good on the new model??
I bet the new 2012 Imprezza gives us an idea on the direction the brand wants to go when the OB is due for a facelift.

It might take a while, but I suspect that the Plasti-Dip will let you do everything without permanently damaging the paint, trim, etc. I only worry about durability - how often will it need touchups?

Im curious to see how that holds up with the elements/road conditions. I would love to see the black grill on the green outback. Im horrible with Photoshop, but i might have to play around a bit.

Me, too. I was on the fence about sanding the grill before coating it, but then decided not to. In the event I sell the car, I'd like to return it to stock without buying a new grill. On that note, if it doesn't hold up well, I can just peel it off.
