Default Grill, Emblem, and Badge Modification Pictures

If you have made some minor cosmetic changes to your OB please post pics on this thread for the benefit of those of us who want to tone down the silver/chrome plastic on our Outbacks.

Some of 4th Generation Owners have modified the front grill with flat black paint. Some have modified the front grill Subaru emblem. Others have painted the silver chunk of plastic on the bumper below the radiator, the silver Outback insert on cladding below the front doors, and/or shaved off some or all of the badges. The only thing I have done yet is to fill several deep chips in my hood with primer and OEM paint.

Thanks.

Default Grill modifications

Had to take the grill off to replace the beep-beep horn

Was able to take off lower face of the grill and Plasti-Dip spray that
I think this helps the front of the car a lot
May not look as good on all colors

First time to post a picture so hope this works

I did what's on my avatar pic. Painted fogs and grill and turned my emblems red.

Looks good. An improvement IMO. I was thinking of doing the grill, chrome trim, and lower cladding outback insert.

How did you get the emblems red? I read that you have been doing the chip pen thing. Have you been using the primer/filler on the deep ones and do you do a clear coat?

The painted grill looks awesome! That's now officially on my short list of mods.

Looks awesome! I'm intrigued by this Plasti-Dip stuff. Does it seem pretty durable?

Did you start a horn replacement thread? That is a greatly needed mod. I don't push the horn often, but when pushed I have regretted it. Thanks for the pic post.
