Ok. I emailed Perrin Performance and AVO and asked how many buyers we would need to have lined up for them to make a cat back exhaust for the Gen 4 Ob 3.6 r. I will let you know what I hear back. Meanwhile, if you can come up with any others, please consider contacting them and reporting back. Maybe we will find a company willing to do this if we can get them enough initial sales.

I emailed AFEPower as well asking about both a CAI and exhaust for the 3.6. Cross your fingers...

ehhhh you may have better luck with a 2.5i....but seeing how exhaust routing is very similar it may work.

FLHRSI - Who did you email from Perrin, AVO, and AFE? Or did you just inquire via their websites? I'll do the same and let them know there is interest for these parts.

I've contacted AirAid too, for a CAI, but they said there is not enough interest.

I've done this before with some ATV parts. A whole bunch of us made inquires about a specific part enough times and we finally got them to make a limited production run due to hounding them constantly in volume!

Numbers are everything to these companies.

I have a buddy with a SPT cat back exhaust from a 2009 WRX sedan that he's willing to part with for $300. Any thoughts on if it would be a good starting point for the 3.6r?

from AVO's Managing Director, Mr. Paul Hansen. He said for this project he would need 5-10 people willing to order and someone in the Washington State area willing to let him use their car to see what changes they need to make to get the exhaust to fit on the 3.6.

Check out AVO's website here: Welcome to AVO Turboworld! I would expect what he is referring to is making necessary adjustments to get AVO's 3" Catback Exhause for the 2010+ Legacy GT to fit. That exhaust retails for $1499 and is described on their website as follows: This high quality system features stainless steel flanges, 2 resonators for a great tone with no drone, and sliding sleeve for fine adjustment of the fitment!

I would be In if this could go on 2.5i, but also kind of spendy for the Legacy one...1.5k is pretty high for just a CBE.

Sorry- I am just working on getting something going for the 3.6 which is dual exhaust. I think there would probably be other differences too.

Just from the pic the hangers are different, but that's an easy fix if they match up to the mid-pipe and everything else.

Half the price of the full system.

Looks like a viable muffler option! I still want a full cat back system. Come on people- just need 4 more (one of you in Washington)! Who is with me?
