Unlikely to be cost, rather it makes the car more prone to oversteer - a situation that their Lawyers do not like.

Especially with the higher center of gravity.

Best money spent on the car!! Installed easily on my garage floor. 6 bolts. Corners much flatter, sportier driving.

Default Should I add 19MM STI Sway Bar to 2012?

Great replies everyone, thank you!

Given that the consensus agrees I should do this, I have one more question for you all. What do I need beyond the 19MM STI Sway Bar? Here is the reason for my question. I dropped into my local dealer to see if they might have one one hand. They shared that I did not simply need the Sway Bar, but to do this conversion I would need the following:
Sway Bar $94.55
Link Stabilizer (2) $73.77 $147.54
Rubber Bushings (2) $11.43 $22.86
Stabilizer Clamp (2) $5.85 $11.70
Grand Total (incl tax) $302.94!!

Can you guys let me know your thoughts?!
Thanks!

that is a rip off. Go to subaruonlineparts.com and buy the kit for around 90.00 It has the bushing with it. You do not need to change the end links or clamps. Run away from that dealer as fast as you can.

I have it on my car it really tightens up the car a lot.

I changed mine out and like it. Makes the car feel 'quicker' in the handling area. I have King springs and am going to change out the rims and tires this week.
To me it's all good. The ride is not as plush, especially with the springs but it handle SO much better.

Changed mine out two weeks ago. Better handling and reduced the wandering the car was prone to.

If you have a wanderer, and you did or will upgrade the rsb, get the alignment checked too: mine was a slight wanderer, bad in wind, almost ok not. Alignment was out of spec, bad (toe in was out on left front, right rear), dealer set fronts to 0.00, 0.01 total toe, now it's solid, has good on center feel. It still might drift a bit, like any car, but you feel it in the wheel first instead of seeing the drift and never feeling it, so I'm correcting for it before I even think about it, like any other car.

I'm still going to do the rsb, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't something else wrong first. I think the rsb can mask bad alignment.

Default Allen wrench

Just got mine (19 mm) and will install it this weekend on my 2013 OB.
But, one of the earlier posts, describing the swap, indicated that 4 or 6 mm allen wrench is needed (besides the 12 and 14 mm box wrenches(.
What is the allen wrench for then? Don't see anywhere any such openings on my car nor on the 19 mm sway bar....?
