I hope to be able to afford to go to Moab this year. A lot depends on gas prices.....

Yup, seems like you have too much time on your hands and too much disposable income :>. I personally think it looked better stock, but to each his own. Resale is generally better if you leave it stock as well.

RobMunach is obviously not a modder and needs to learn some manners.

There are those who like to personalize their cars and I think stock cars intentionally boring as to not offend boring people.

Never met bradze, but I can tell you with certainty that he's not boring.

Manners? - I had a smiley face after it :>
Just expressing my opinion - I feel many cars look better stock and do sell better when you are ready to unload them. Again, to each his own. I am a modder - but only on my track use BMW.

i guess that guy didn't notice my signature "who cares about resale value, this is an outback, not getting something else til 200k miles"
i feel i got my money's worth in modifying it to suit my taste. its 1000x better than it was when i brought it home and my wife called it a dad-mobile

itll be so f'ing beat up when i trade it in, but ill have paid it off years before that date. yeah, i would rather put money towards a spec e30 racecar, but im in school right now and so i cant. this car is exactly what i want and for a total investment of $28k for all modifications and purchase price for the car i feel its totally worth it

So what you are saying is that you had money burning a hole in your pocket and had to put it into the Outback - rather than saving it so you can have a Spec E30 race car that much sooner.
