happy thanksgiving to everyone, a day late, but oh well. since my daughter is playing in my car just about every morning, probably because it so cold out, i'm getting very annoyed with my metra 8903 dash kit so i'm getting the 8904. i'm also extremely picky and want me interior to look better so i wanna paint all the tan panels black. probably sounds stupid but i have a nice long break coming so why not? hopefully i can get some help on what paint matches...

Bradze,
Great stuff (I just read most of the 60 pages waiting for the rest of the house to wake up)!

Happy Turkey Day!

glad you like it. on another forum i have a thread thats 400ish pages long about random crap. partly about my old car. it needs a lift asap! tired of ducking for the tailgate when i sit down in trunk and having to bend again to put jorja in her car seat. strut spacers and king springs will eliminate this issue. then when i need tires ill probably gain another 3/4 inches or so, in addition to not hearing so many clunks on my floor and the other benefits of having more ground clearance.

i feel bad, my outback is way too clean. i was talking with my friends on evoxforums, i always had a filthy, nasty evo compared to anyone else. but my outback is relatively clean right now. send me some money so i can get suspension pieces, more sound deadening, money for having electronics hooked up, and ugh, starving kids in zimbabwe

I'm game for the "send me money" theme. I promise that all funds will be used to purchase and consume the finest bourbon that America has to offer. jk, or maybe not. Liked the photos of you and the young one. Agree about sending a few bucks to the kids in Zimbabwe and other parts of the world that are less fortunate than we are.

thanks. its cool when people have a '12 impreza and a 4th gen outback like me. i have to say the clicking from a solenoid, shift interlock i think, is driving me crazy! im driving the impreza a few times a week and that one doesn't click so hearing it in my outback is awful. i could go buy a car right now for $1000 and it wont click like that. i wish there was some sort of solution for this. i follow several threads about it and even posted it on other forums. really, really annoying. sometimes i wanna listen to talk radio or just think but thats really hard with a click every few seconds.

I don't hear any clicks on the '13 OB, nor the '12 Impreza. The '13 OB has a different CVT than the ones in the '10, '11, and '12 OBs. And I have the NAV in the '13.

Really every few seconds yours clicks?

Mine is a 12' and I have to have my hand on the shift lever to feel it or else I wouldn't even know it's clicking, this only happens when I come to a complete stop, lucky me.

im not 100% positive its the shift interlock. the clicking noise sounds like its right in front of me in the dash. i put my hand on the shifter and dont feel anything. some cars are worse than others. the time between clicks varies in mine. sometimes its only a few times a minute, others its 1 click every few seconds. i usually have the radio loud enough i dont hear it all, but right after waking up im not in the mood for that. or my 2 year old telling me to turn it down, or the wife bitching...
