The more I see of the fog lights/ front end the less I like them. Maybe by the time we want to trade our 2012 they will change them to my style.

Default My thoughts on the 2013 at the NY auto show

I did make it over to the auto show on saturday and checked out the 2013 OB. Everything looked good and the wife gave the go ahead. So now it's just about price and ordering.

Some observations:
Ground clearance measured the exact same as my 2010. So as they promised they kept it the same.
Rear sway bar measured 16mm. They most likely just use the bar from the Legacy which is 16mm. My OB is 15mm. My first thought is not big enough. But being they did a suspension redesign it may be perfect. No one knows yet.
There was only one 2013 there. It was a Limited 2.5 silver metallic with black interior. We liked the silver (It's lighter than my 2010). I assume it's the same ice silver from 2012. Black leather was perfed and looked pretty close to my 2010.
EyeSight looked nice and cameras didn't hang down enough to be a problem. Easy on/off buttons for the EyeSight on the overhead console.
Top mounted oil filter was nice. It's the same Subie blue can just mounted on top now. It sits in a small metal cup which prevents any oil mess when the filter is removed.
The new roof rack looks almost exactly the same except the span is now adjustable.
Definetly had a temp gauge in place of the econ-o-meter.
I preferred the new matte finish fake interior wood to my current glossy stuff but I am not crazy about either one.
No power, so I couldn't try the memory seats.
Same Conti tires.
Manfacture date 2/2012. SIA. Made in the USA.
This was almost the exact car I want. Even had nav. It was just missing keyless entry/push button start and remote starter. I assume both are options.

So the memory seats are available outside of the Special Appearance Package? Did you specifically notice this or was it just a case of there was no power so whether or not there were memory seats was irrelevant.

No power so memory seats were irrelevant. But now that you mention it I bet they weren't there being that the other parts of the Special Appearance Package option were missing.

we are axiously waiting cash in hand to order a 2013.

I really want to see some live shots of the new brown interior. If that one was made in Feb, I would think there are more out there by now.

I'm dissappointed that there's no option for Bi-Xenon or just normal Xenon

A pre-production model will still have the plate and have an accurate date for when it was built. In Feb. they were still producing the 2012 model cars so there WON'T be any more with brown leather until they ramp up 2013 production.

In fact, I wonder if it was really a 2012 body that had all the re-engineered visual parts swapped for the auto show...
