These electronic marvels we drive nowadays (anyone remember replacing points & condenser, and setting the dwell on the points?) are at bottom so complex it's very difficult to say what happened in a case like this. Our current ride (see sig) died just after the bridge from Ohio into WV several years ago. Stopped at a light, started to accelerate on green, then.....nothing. Turned key off, restarted, and have been driving ever since with nary a recurrence. Didn't even bother contacting the SAAB dealer. All car dealers have two favorite sayings, one of which has already been mentioned: "They all do that," and "We've never heard of one doing that."*
NB: *There is a reason for this. Diagnostic work is labor, and very expensive. If a problem can be identified, it's much cheaper to just make the repair. If it can't (as in the cases mentioned in this thread), diagnosis is very likely impossible in any case. So they may check & see if the car has thrown any codes, and if not, they revert to one of the two sayings given above.

My 2013 3.6 with 1450 miles on it just did this as well. No power, all lights lit up and undriveable. Restarted and limped 2 miles home. Still have the lights all lit up but it drives fine. I have found other similar threads releated to this issue. I hope I didn't make a mistake buying this car.

Probably a SEL (Select Engine Lights) condition - contact your dealer. Your Cruise Control will not be functional for safety reasons until the SEL is reset.

G-Omaha, I posted in 2 threads regarding this and in one you tell me its the gas cap and another a SEL light for my cruise control. Neither situation explains the lack of driveability. Something else is happening here.
