UPDATE 6/7/12: Now the first 20 people get the deal. We no longer have to reach 20 units. The deal is over after 20 units are sold, or the end of June (whichever comes first). Personally I think this is best for those of us who are interested, since 20 was going to be a challenge.
This is a spinoff gangstead's thread about the new redesigned Torklift hitch. See all the details here: http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/104-gen-4-2010-present/45033-torklift-stealth-hitch-being-redesigned-greatly-improved.html The group by deal is essentially $25 off with free shipping to the lower 48 states. If you live elsewhere then shipping will apply. The normal price for these hitches is $275. Personally, I think this is the best design out there. You don't see the crossbar under the bumper, it's no-drill, and it doesn't stick straight out like the OEM hitch. Ordering Instructions: Select which version you want: 1.25" - http://shop.tlcentral.com/store/pc/v...idproduct=1074 2.00" - http://shop.tlcentral.com/store/pc/v...idproduct=1072 Upon completion of the order, type "SUBARUOUTBACK.ORG" in the comments section to participate in the group buy. Also it would be a good idea to state that you are ordering the new "no-drill" version of the hitch. Thanks for looking. Cheers. Last edited by rockthebeef; 06-07-2012 at 08:11 PM. I'd get one if the price was closer to $200 and the delivery was before June 20. I have a trip planned and a budget. Thanks anyway.

I'd consider it if I could see the install instructions. Is it supposed to be through the rear deck like one of the members did with a Hidden Hitch?

The group buy would get it to $250. I would be in if I didn't already have one. The hack job uhaul installed price is about $200 and it's only $50 more to get the very best one out there and put it in yourself. I think it's totally worth it to have a hitch you will enjoy seeing (or not seeing) for the life of the car that you paid $20-30k for a year or two ago.
