Default USB Resume Problem / aka Sick of Abba

I searched for this topic, and couldn't find it...apologies if it's already posted.

I play music all the time from a USB stick...or at least I want to. Problem is, the system starts over with the first song in the first folder every time I start the car. Since I drive lots of short trips, every time I get in my car, Abba comes on. (Please don't hate me...when I sent to college, Abba was beyond popular.)

Does anyone know how to get the USB to resume where it left off like every other MP3 player?

Thanks, members!

I have a 2012 Outback Limited with the HK non-navigation stereo. I play music from a USB drive all of the time, and mine always starts where I left off. If one song is playing when I turn off the vehicle, the song resumes right where it left off when I start the car again.

I use a Kingston 16GB 2.0 high-speed flash drive, formatted in FAT32. My songs are WMA, MP3, and ACC (MP4), and were put on the drive using a Windows Vista PC, if any of this makes a difference.

I think they fixed that bug with the 2012 year. It has been a complaint for quite a while on the 2010-11's. I'm thankful the '11 HK at least has the 6 disc changer.
