AWP/moonroof/camera for $900?

...no-brainer!

I bought this car in Northern Vermont on 11/30/2012 and paid $27K even + TT.. so i feel like a chump when i follow this forum. They made me feel like I was killing their first born.. 3 dealers in the area.. 27 was the lowest.. I found a deal 400 miles away for 26.5 but that's a far cry from 25.4. Sheesh.. take the $ and run if you ask me. But clearly I don't know a good deal when I see one or I would have never paid 27.

Have not opened the sunroof yet and backup camera I find only useful for that last few inches to see if you are getting too close.. but AWP is a must (here).

I think the 24,500 price would go down a little if I worked on that but I'm leaning towards a few options for resale value as pointed out.

To the guy in Vermont, totally different market, can't compare an AWD purchase in a snow covered NE to Cali, don't feel bad at all.

Default Trying to negotiate...

I'm still negotiating so far.. But all I want is:

2013 premium 6sp with AWP

Pop package2 would be nice for the mats and rear tailgate guard..

I am dealing with two dealerships, and both are pretty firm on their prices. One won't go below $25,400 and the other is holding at $25,500.

I feel like I should be able to get it for 24,400 or so since I dont want any huge frills or need any crazy packages.. Am I crazy for thinking this?

I'm in the Philadelphia area if that helps..

Your problem is, 6sp. The supply is very limited and dealers won't budge. If you get quotes for CVT, I am sure the discounts will be bigger.

my local dealer where I got my '13 OB, offered me the '13 OB premium 6 speed manual for $23,500

I ended up getting the base model 6sp for $21,226, then added a few options myself, just the accessories that I liked.

Hmmm. Maybe I should go with a base and just add some options. I dont like the aftermarket heated seats though.. Never been a fan of them. But definitely like the 6sp.

where we live, I did not need heated seats or de-icer wipers etc....
so the base model made more sense for us.

I do like the alloy wheels, but base model only came with steel wheels

I added the wheel arch mouldings, rear bumper cover, fog lights, dealer gave me all weather mats for free

Are you using the "inventory search" feature on Soobie dealer
web sites? It recently listed new 2013 6MTs at Roberts, Rafferty,
and Delaware Subaru. Four cars in all, all Premium with AWP.
Surprisingly, there weren't any 6MTs in Base trim.

I only searched the western Philly 'burbs, around Downingtown,
(helping a neighbor who really likes my OB, and wants a 6MT).

...happy hunting,

Default Looking in the NY tri-state area with not much luck

Hi everyone. Newbie here. I have been doing the e-pricing thing without much success. I am looking for an Outback 2.5i Premium PZEV with the All Weather & Moonroof package and the Package 1a. Quotes that are coming in are ranging from the low $27k's to the mid $28k's.

The prices I am seeing paid for this car with the same optons on this thread are often much less.

Interestingly, my calculations for invoice come to $26,120:

(Base) $24,472
(AWP/Moonroof) $ 1,620
Pop Pkg 1A $ 318
PZEV $ 300
Holdback (minus) $ 590
_______________________
$26,120

I am getting quoted WELL above invoice from everyone. Any thoughts or observations?

Thanks!!!
