Why does anything on this forum concern you any more?
You are essentially just a despondent ex-Outback owner, with little to nothing to contribute to the community. Just a quick glance through your post history will show that.. Why not hang out exclusively on the Hyundai forums and foster your sour attitude there.

I just don't understand why the two of you are so sensitive, that's all. You must live very sheltered lives if a commercial joking about your car upsets you that badly.

Did you guys write a nasty letter to Subaru when they put out commercials making OB owners look like forgetful morons?

Lighten up.

As far as my sour attitude, I think you'd probably be better off looking in the mirror. It takes much, much more than a silly commercial to sour me

Maybe you could copy/paste your letter to Toyota here? Make it easier for others to take up the torch.

I've seen the Venza vs Outback commercial referenced in another thread. Personally, I don't see any reason to be angry or upset over the depiction of Subaru owners. This seems to be a more regional advertisement (Western Washington) and I'd guess Toyota corporate has little to do with the content or how people are depicted--beyond standard no racist/sexist/etc depictions.

I think usually regional ads are, or can be, "low brow" while national ads aren't so much. Toyota's and Subaru's national ads are tasteful.

Venzas are for people who think driving to the outlet mall is a rugged adventure.

I don't know about you guys, but I sure wish I would have dropped the 37K and gone with the Venza instead....

Blame the French... again!
The creator of the commercial for TMS (USA) - Toyota Motor Sales - USA - is a reputable ad agency: Saatchi & Saatchi LA - they belong (or are owned) by Publicis Groupe of Paris, France. They are also creators of the Facebook media...among others...

I saw it on again and I noticed they have the Outback owners dressed up in clothes with no style. The man had sandals with socks and the woman with funky clothes too. I guess that's the stereotype Toyota has of Outback owners.
