will they replace the shocks under the powertrain warranty??

also, did the dealership charge you for assessing the sound and adjusting the shock??

I don't know if they will replace the shocks under warranty, but I will certainly try to go that route. They did (mostly) fix the other one at no charge.

I have the same noise too. There is the clicking noise that I hear when I am at a stop light or parked in my drive way. There is the rattling I hear from the Moonroof. There is an air leak in the trim on the passenger side door.

Of course, Murphy's Law states that when you take it to the dealer to complain, the noise resolves itself. Can you believe that! Kind of tired of these little things.

They might roll their eyes at you but they won't charge you.

Yesterday I had what might be the same noise issue. It was an intermittant "plastic" ticking noise by the passenger A piller. It was only at slow speeds and seemed to correspond to bumps in the road. I checked around and replicated the noise with the Subaru sports bottle I carry in the door cup holder. I moved it around a bit and noise is gone. It can't be that easy?

not that easy... I've had a passenger hold things down, open the glove box, ear to the dash, press the speaker covers... it was determined that it was coming from under the dash... I'm confident that it's the shock (though I know nothing of car mechanics).

I didn't think so. I need to get a buddy over to drive and give me a chance to track it down. It sure does sound like it's an interior noise though.

i dropped my car off at the dealership this morning... the tech seemed to think it was a body panel.. i suggested that it might be the shock but he didn't seem to think that was the problem.. i'll update when i have more news... this could be a long process....

I have the same issue. Please post up what the "resolve" and "problem" was. Thanks!
