After they replaced the shock, the noise is done. Just shared my story and hopefully it may help u
This is unbelievable on a brand new 2013. Thanks for sharing anyway!

CARVEN's fix in post #16 of your thread seems pretty on target...at least that's where I'd guess the sound comes from. I tried to reach ctplake (post #24 of the thread I linked), but didn't get a reply.

This click sound is different than the rear gate rattle. If you have the click...you know it (sounds like CKK and mcaurilio do too). Chasing a noise might be a nuisance for the dealer, but a bad weld means compromised structural integrity which reduces vehicle safety in a collision.

My dealer did a thorough job of trying to stop the rear gate from rattling....much was replaced and now the gate closes with a nice from thud and is much quieter. As good as it's gonna get I figure. Not as good as other vehicles I am familiar with. >>
Yes, i had the tailgate noise and it's gone now. This sound is different, and is more 'crispy'. I will have to take the car back to the dealer to pinpoint the source. It's unacceptable on a new 2013, especially if it's the weld issue.
Seems this is an ongoing issue with Subaru, 2011, 2012, 2013 models have all been reported.

Default This is ridiculous!

I have been to the dealership 3 times now and the noise is still there. It occurs more when temperature is low.
After the first visit, the noise became worse and occurred more frequently. Then I made another appointment and dropped the car. They worked on the vehicle for another week. Found out it was weld issue between the frame and wheelhouse! They claimed have re-welded and did the undercoating again in that area. However, when i took the car back, i can still hear the same noise!! It's better than what it was after the first service. More like what it was before the first visit. It's coming from the same location in the rear right, near the wheel well. I contacted SOA and they sent the field representative over to the dealer. Guess what happened? The representative said there's no noise and the car did not need further repair. W**! I talked to the customer service and asked them to inspect the noise again. They are going to inspect the car tomorrow morning and still 'no noise', i have to take the car back. pathetic story huh.

I believe I have the same 2013 Outback rear latch noise on rough roads. Anyone have instructions on adjusting the rear hatch latch or do I have convince the dealer what it is?

Had the rear latch rattle on older Subaru's that needed adjustment at the dealer. My 2013 hatch closes with a nice quiet thud and is rattle-free so far.

I'm thinking the "click" sound for OP is nothing related to the interior or body panels. You might have something clicking on your suspension such as endlink , sway bar mount, etc.
That is why you hear the noise on turns?

All cars have similar issues with suspension parts...might not be anything that Subaru did wrong.

I took my car in to have this issue looked at on Monday this week. The clicking/rattling sound has gotten worse in the past month and it got to the point where I couldn't stand it anymore. I can't drive for more than a minute or two without hearing it. Usually it happens several times per minute. In my case, it's loud enough to hear even with the stereo blasting...

Anyway, I was expecting the dealership to give me the run around, but they actually came back and said it was likely a bad weld near the right rear wheel well.

I have an appointment with the body shop on the 26th and they'll probably have the car for a few days to fix it, but I'm happy to report that the dealership seems to be taking care of it. Will post results after Thanksgiving on how it goes!

Welcome to the first mystery clicks/squeeks/sounds on Subarus ... having the third one now, I have had many of those "sounds" on my previous models and I could not trace the source of any of them. You have to get used to those. Some will eventually fade away... unless you find, that something is malfunctioning or had fallen off...if it ain't broken - don't fix it! - that golden rule applies! LOL

Murphy's Law is that when you bring the car to the dealer, he will not be able to duplicate those mystery sounds... report back anyway!

You may also check the spare wheel well ... you might have some loose items there or the tire itself is not attached firmly enough... There are some tools there, locking lugs with key, etc etc.
