The Crosstrek is Impreza maxi (lifted). The Forester is taller and more narrow while the OB is shorter and wider. No cannibalizing anything unless you buy two cars. A sale is a sale why would they care which design appeals to who as long as they sell something?
The Forester with Turbo is a unique offering.

[QUOTE=willt;474778]So the Subaru Facebook page revealed a picture of the new 2014 Forester Timeline Photos | Facebook and here's the pic
QUOTE] Hi, Is the release date spring of 2013 or 2014? I've seen both dates mentioned when I reserched the subject, as well as late 2013. I know it will be displayed at the L.A. Auto Show this month so it would seem like it's essentially ready for release. Interestingly, Toyota's RAV4 redesign is supposed to launch spring 2013 but will be a 2013 model, not a 2014. |

2014 Subaru Forester for USDM gets push button start and EyeSight but the SAP package that is seen on the 2013 Subaru Outback doesn't appear to carry over to the 2014 Subaru Forester like rear A/C vents (should be both heat and cold, not just cold =\) and memory driver seat. I can live without the memory driver seat since I'm the only one who drives my car but I would have liked second row heat and A/C vents.

Watch the Live Unveiling from the LA Auto Show
The all-new 2014 Forester. Versatility unveiled. Los Angeles Auto Show, November 28. The all-new 2014 Subaru Forester is designed to go places, to get things done and to live life. So naturally, we're unveiling it at the Los Angeles Auto Show and everywhere it loves to go. The all-new Forester combines the right-sized power, control, and versatility with a greener, more fuel-efficient design. It's a Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle[1] that's built in a zero-landfill plant, comes with more cargo room and an available power rear gate. All that, plus road-gripping Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and the balance of the legendary SUBARU BOXER engine. It's the same Forester owners have grown to love, only better. Waiting to be unveiled wherever you love to go.
