I think Ford's "Ecooboost" marketing is GENIUS. |

The thing that really kills me is this stupid game of boosting power in a big way all while having a car that gets similar to very marginally better mileage over the prior version. When they could have boosted the power some - and seen a big gain in mileage. |

A turbo with a CVT huh? There is something I'd let be on sale for a couple years before I buy it.
I think I'd still look for a current gen or previous gen XT over this new one. The interior looks like the Impreza, which isn't bad, but isn't exactly a giant leap over the current Forester. |

2014 Subaru Forester First Look
Edmunds posted a first look. Looks like the interior dimensions are larger than the outback in cargo and rear seat legroom. I think this might give us a clue as to future Outback positioning. Perhaps they might do what Hyundai did with the Santa Fe if the Forester is just as big as the Outback now? Have a 5-seater and 7-seater Outback...Just guessing. |

The 2.0T has better MPG numbers than the 3.6. Unless Subaru mates a CVT to it the 2015 Outback will have to say good bye to the extra cylinders. However if the CVT can handle the Turbo I see no reason why it can't run the 3.6. |

From what I read it does not sound larger than the OB but the game of volume numbers ie taller roof line might make people think that. It sounds like like Subaru is shooting for a more rugged 4x4 type rig vs prior years along with fixing the seating space issues the older version has suffered from for a long time now.
