Can anyone tell me if the Yakima Fairings will safely attach to the factory crossbars on the 2011 Outback? All of the pictures online show them attaching to the circular yakima crossbars and the Subaru's looks much wider. Thanks in advance!

Are you dead-set on using the Yakima fairings? The THULE works just fine. I use the Thule aero bars, which are just about the same size as the subie bars - no issues at all mounting it.

I'm not 100% set on getting the Yakima one, but my bike racks are Yakima so I didn't want my Subie to have identity issues with 2 different brands.

I got Yakima fairing and it fits both, the square and round aftermarket Yakima or Thule cross bars. The plastic opens up and then clips onto round or square bars - I have it on another square cross bars. But Yakima has cust. service and they quickly answer phone calls... I would give them a call!

The standard Yakima round/square crossbar fairing mounts do not work with the wife's 2012 OB crossbars.
