Default Aftermarket wheels on Graphite Gray

I'm looking for pictures of aftermarket wheels on Graphite Gray 2010-2013 Outbacks. I'm familiar with the websites that let you view wheels, but I want to see the real deal.

I have a hard time picturing what would look best; matte black, gunmetal, or a polished aluminum.

Thanks!

...there are a number of forum users who have done this. Bradze is just one of them. Check out his main thread

This is my outback! There are many like it, but this one is mine!

His sig has the pic of his OB with aftermarket wheels.

His is blue, not graphite gray.

Hang out on any forum long enough and you'll see the same topics over and over and over again. That's just the way it goes, and it happens for all sorts of reasons. Some people think they are the first person to think of something (they aren't), some don't search (95% of people), etc.

So why not add to the clutter? The best way to visualize any wheel on your car is to use an actual picture of your car. The online configurators are nice and all, but they usually have the proportions wrong, i.e. 17" wheels will be rendered to look like 19's - that's not too helpful when you're trying to get a realistic look.

Photoshop elements is like $50 and can do soooo much. Here's my graphite gray that I photoshopped Crosstrek wheels on. I kind of dig it!

PS Elements is great for visualizing suspension mods too:

That looks great! What do you think of those YK520 tires? They're in the running for my next set. Also, how do the 18's ride compared to stock (well, you had 16s stock, right?). Anyway, I'd be interested to read what you have to say.

IMO Matte in Black or Dark Gray is the only way if your going to spend it. JM2.

there is also a great generator on tire rack that can show you the particular wheels you're looking for

Thanks, yes I was running the stock 16s. The tires are YK580, I think that’s a new generation of the YK520. The main difference between the ride quality when comparing the 16s to 18s is its a little more firm especially around corners. As for road noise and MPG there is no noticeable change. The grip these wheels and tires provide quickly get to the limitations of the 2012 suspension. I was also considering Michelin Primacy’s as they are in the same class of tire. They had a comparable warranty and the driver reviews were very positive, however they are a bit more expensive.

Thanks. Of course, YK580. I'm quite weird that when I'm driving in traffic I tend to play a game with myself by identifying tires by their tread pattern. I think the 580s have a cool looking pattern. Also, I would imagine that you can easily get the price down from Discount Tire since that is sort of their "house brand" tire. But I've only got 10k on the clock so it'll be a while before I need tires. By then I might go up to 18s.
