I had a problem opening the first file I downloaded. In my next attempt at downloading, I selected "view" instead of "save" in the little menu that pops up on the bottom of my screen before the download begins. Once I was able to view the document on my screen, I did a file/save as to save the pdf on my computer. It worked that time. I don't know why. Both methods should work. I have Adobe Reader X ver.10.1.5.

OBnube:
Sometimes you have to click "allow" at the bottom of the screen (firewall settings), if you have Windows 7 Professional Edition - but I am sure, you know that!
If you still have problem, send me a private message and I will forward the file to you...

Default Got mie on eBay just now

I just bought mine on eBay as a downloadable .pdf for only $7.35

2012 Subaru Legacy Outback Factory Service Repair Manual Genuine Shop FSM | eBay

I got an email instantaneously with the download link.

Says link is good for 24 hours or 3 downloads. My first download worked so here is the '12 service manual link for the next two happy 2012 owners:

EDIT: LINK HAS EXPIRED AND HAS BEEN DELETED FROM POST

and here is a bonus, it is a spec sheet on all the things that changed from '11 to '12, and they are the little details like where they changed insulation on the floorpan for cost savings etc...

EDIT: LINK HAS EXPIRED AND HAS BEEN DELETED FROM POST

LIke I said, its only available free for the next two downloads, after that you will have to pay.

Good luck,

Sandor27

How is the quality of the download? Can you tell if it is the OEM Manual for North America? Thanks

Quality is great. This is an original PDF, not a scan. There is an annoying watermark from the seller at the bottom of each page, but does not in any way affect readability.

It looks like the OEM manual, but there is no cover page. It is 6237 pages long and is indexed and searchable.

It looks exactly like the work instructions from subaru's technical site.

I'm guessing someone downloaded the manual and is now making a profit.
