I know the climate control could be better in this car, but I have a question about the AC button.
When the climate system is in Full Auto, the AC light is always on. Does this mean that the system actually has the AC on the entire time, or that it's allowed to turn it on if necessary? For example, in the winter I wouldn't want the AC on at all when it's usually just heating the car, but it's kind of a pain to always go and turn off AC after you adjust any settings. |

Most ACC systems I have owned are like this. Annoying. The A/C is on in "full auto" unless the ambient temp outside is less than around 32 degrees (not sure the exact number on the Subaru). This is really annoying if you park your car in a garage in the winter, where it's warmer, then immediately drive outside...the A/C stays on.
The solution is to leave the system on all the time (never push the off button) and turn the A/C off so it runs in "Auto" mode.

A/C dehumidifies the air making it quite helpful in the winter.

I wished more people understood this!!! Aside from that it helps keep the system lubricated. |
