You do understand that you are less than 1% of the Outback ownership. 99% of us do not go off-roading and rock crawling in our lifted, unibody, station wagons. That is what full frame pickup trucks are for. Berating the poster for wanting to fix the part of his vehicle that is damaged isn't going to make him want to keep visiting this site.

Bradze you know how these forums work - I think we have a 5yr old 20 page thread on people freaked out about paint chips some place in these forums. ;-)

A rare one of a kind car worth 100's of thousands of dollars I could understand wanting it to be perfect and unmarred from use. An every day blue collar workers car built by the 100,000 - not so much LOL

I am like you. Each time I read that some people here really believe that our Outbacks are offroad capable vehicles, I have to chuckle.

The are good for forest roads or other not so nice dirt roads. I took my old one out to Moab, to see how it was doing playing with the big guys. Well after I got stuck in the approach to the Gemini Bridges, I decided to hitch rides with the real offroaders! (and mine was lifted a whopping 1 1/2 inches and was running AT tires!).

I leave my Outback at home now and take the Jeep for offroading.
