Went test drive with an SOA field rep. It was not easy to reproduce the issue because of the traffic and the road condition (winding and relatively not smooth roads. Interestingly the oscillation more obvious on smooth surface. Rougher road actually seems to cancel out the vibration). When we found a long stretch of straight black top surface, I could see the steering wheel oscillated when I only guide the wheel lightly.
At this point the rep thinks there is no problem with the car. I respect that opinion. I also told him that the previous two TSBs showed the same symptoms, the problem went away for a bit, then slowly and gradually coming back. It has only been 900-1000 miles since the third TSB, and I already could see the oscillation and I am sure it will be there by the time I reach 3k miles. He will talk to SOA and SOA will contact me. I am hoping they will do me right. |
