Anyone ever save an engine that the timing belt tensioner bearings had gone out? I haven't seen the car but am afraid the timing belt probably skipped and may or may not have bent a valve. Any incite would be most appreciated!

Yes a few times.

Sometimes I get lucky and the valves aren't bent and I can just throw on a new timing component kit and go. . . of course you don't know the condition of the valves until you get a new belt on and either crank it and listen or run a compression test.

Probably about half the time I get lucky.
