Here's what you do. Whatever vehicle that camper shell fits on, gas her up, put the camper on it, and head down to Baja for a week. Find some 80 degree heat and have a couple cases of Tecate, and some fish tacos.

I disabled the DRLs today in preparation of the independent fog light mod.

Hey great minds think alike!!! We actually sold that camper and the F250 last month because we bought a 1755sqft home on 2.5 acres in Armagosa Valley
(10 miles from Death Valley Junction). Our plans are to get out of this cold, snowy place in Feb and head down there for a while.
So you see, great minds do think alike!

I ordered the Felpro HS 26170 pt-1 gasket set so I could do the HG very soon...if it warms up.

wife reported an odd sound perhaps related to the A/C. Last year I had to re-charge the system and I used one can with dye so, I looked everywhere with a blue/UV type light. No real sign of any leaks so, either some other issue could be going on, or the leak is in the dash (grrrr)

i also have been having 2-3 odd/intermittent and thankfully minor electrical issues so, I took apart and 'refreshed' about 9 ground connections in the engine bay. After I re-installed them I smeared dielectric grease on them. One of them was not very tight but I have no idea if it was actually a problem.

Replaced the night light in the drivers side seat heater switch and the fog lamp switch. No issues with the fog lamp switch, but now neither seat will heat up...so after getting frustrated I decided to clean, clay, and wax the car.

Going out after lunch and doing the grounding mod, and possibly the resonator delete mod.

I spent this evening dismantling the radio and gauge cluster section of the dash so I can remove the god awful Onstar system After much struggle and a many expletives later, the onstar module (grey box), face plate, and computer thing (thin metal thing on top of the heater control) was removed Tomorrow I'll be replacing it with an empty DIN pocket, and then replacing the lights behind the gauge cluster with blue LEDs! Finally!

Before all the Onstar crap was removed:

Got it back from the body shop with a new rear bumper.

If you need body work in Chicago, I can now recommend Guys & Sons Auto Rebuilders.

Did another friendly, yet inattentive motorist give your old rear bumper a love tap?
