I know this is a wagon forum, but there are some speed freaks here
![]() I also know it’s the middle of winter, but it is time to put the big Kawi up for sale. She has been good to me since the day I brought her home but my street riding interests have changed. So first, a little history: I purchased the bike new in September of 2007 and it has been garage kept ever since. I’d say that 99% of the miles have been street use as I have had it on the track at Summit and VIR a couple times last year. I have always used Motul E-Tech 100 oil and KHI filters, LP coolant and Motul DOT 5.1 brake fluid. All fluid changes have been done more often than the service manual states. Every winter it has been put away with fresh oil/ filter, Stabil in the tank and fog in the cylinders. The suspension remains OEM parts but has been molested by Chris at Manassas Honda/ Kawasaki. He is a factory certified tech for Ohlins, RaceTech, Penske. The forks were also freshened up about 1000 miles ago. Without further ado, on to the specs: -9,891 miles and rising -Akro full Titanium system with CF cans ($1700 new) -PC III USB (mapped) -SunStar 520 conversion (less than 1000 miles ago) -Pazzo shorty levers -Veshra sintered pads (good life left, not sure on miles) -Galfer SS lines -Michelin Pure tires (3 track days and about 6oo miles) -90* angle aluminum valve stems -Tech Spec stomp grips -T-Rex frame sliders -Swing arm spools -Safety wired for track use -Stainless FE kit with tag light -Wired battery tender pigtail -Tool kit -OEM service manual Full disclosure: It has been down. At about 35mph at VIR. All cosmetic damage…..well except for the foot peg. Down to the screws, every part that was replaced was OEM from Manassas Honda/ Kawasaki with the exception of the fuel tank and main side panel which I got from a totaled bike. They are absolutely flawless. There are 4 parts not replaced yet: throttle cable boot (torn), front turn signal, muffler and brake lever have minor scratches you will see in the pics. With all that said, many folks can attest to how well this machine has been taken care of. See: FS: '07 ZX10r - DCSportbikes.net which is my local forum. I always do it right or take it to MHK. There are some pics which show the motor before I cleaned her up last time, just to show there are no leaks. If it were too clean, you might think I was hiding something . It will have a fresh oil change and air filter, as I have that stuff waiting to be put in at the next service interval.I compared a few local sales (private and dealer) and am I am hoping you find $5800 a reasonable price. Thanks! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
