I know the trend here seems to be leaning towards the premium and limited, but I am still focused on the base model as giving me what I need in a car. I've studied it up pretty closely and realize what I would be missing (alloy wheels, tinted glass, dual zone climate, ability to have eyesight, power seats [wife doesn't want those anyway] and a few other things).
In my research, I can't seem to see any significant difference in the infortainment systems. Sure it has a smaller screen (not a problem), it doesn't have satellite (have to keep on paying!), and no SMS functionality (I can't see any part of texting mixing with driving, even it it is hands free). Also, it is missing the two tweeters. But as far as I can tell, it has all the other same features. I mainly want to have as much interactivity with the smart phone as the premium/limited has. I know at least that passing through streaming audio is available on the base (at least Pandora). But are there other functions that aren't implemented in the base model but are in the premium/limited?
I haven't found any yet, but that doesn't mean anything.
