I live in CDA and was wondering if you knew someone in the area that would install 1 7 pin hitch connector using the eTrailer "Universal Installation Kit" on my 2017 Outback?
I would attempt it my self except I live in a senior apt. complex that does not allow residents to work on vehicles.

Hi John, I'm trying to diagnose what seems the the evap coils freezing in my 2005 Outback. At first, I thought the filter might be clogged. When I opened everything up to replace it, I discovered that there wasn't a filter. Now, I'm worried that my evap coils are gommed up with debris. Took the fan motor out, but I can't see them.

I saw on a 2012 thread where you emailed a guy the HVAC section of the shop manual. Could you send it to me, too. Would really appreciate it.

John, I see that you have helped many people with A/C issues on this forum and wanted to get your feedback on an issue I am having with my 2007 outback. I have a single zone manual A/C system. The system was replaced from the firewall forward last September.

The A/C operates normally and blows cold on the passenger side (right hand center console vent, passenger side dash vent). On the driver's side, both vents blow ambient air (hot) until the engine RPMs reach 1800+, when the vents start blowing cold. Drop back to idle, and the air blows ambient again.

I am truly stumped, as the volume of air flowing on the passenger and driver's side is the same so a blockage is unlikely. If it were an older Subaru, I would guess a vacuum based vent actuator was not being fully actuated and allowing outside air in. My understanding is that all actuators are now electric, not vacuum.

Do you have any ideas of what this could be? Compressor tests normal, as does refrigerant levels.
