Lake Orion checking in. New owner of a 2017 OB 2.5. Question.... I notice alot of ppl getting snow tires. Do the stock tire just not perform in the snow?

Probably not as well as snow tires... My '00 has Goodyear Eagles on her rims, and I *know* I'm not spending a winter on those!

Checking in, as I just took home a 2017 3.6 Limited. First Subaru, but really happy with it so far, and I've been eyeing them for a while. I'm over in the Royal Oak/Clawson/Troy area.

I usually wait until late December to put on my snow tires. The stock tires handle the snow just fine for me. I haven't had any issues in snow with them at all.

I put on the snow tires because I ice fish. Some roads and the parking areas of the places I fish are not always plowed.
