Wow Rockhopjohn, it's odd to find another FatCat owner. I've got a 72 Honda CT70, 86 Honda FatCat, 94 Suzuki DR350 and an 05 Yamaha FZ6. Currently the FatCat and CT70 are in storage with the remaining bikes insured. Oh and I'm Ratso with the Popes of **** hahaha.

Pretty interesting cross-section of machinery out there! I appreciate ALL bikes for their beauty and form. We visited family in Phoenix the first week of July, and let me tell ya...if I wasn't so close to pension eligibilty we'd be gone...not just for how much we loved the whole Arizona experience (and no, we avoided the touristy stuff and saw the real AZ)...but for the looooong riding season. I can't imagine life without a two wheeler.

While I'm not intimately familiar with each one listed above, I am at least acquainted with almost all of them since I've had such a fascination with them since I was a wee lad and saw that gleaming chrome and shiny paint under the cover in my parents' garage. Love it! Thanks for the responses.

~R

PS: I'd be remiss without adding my roster (in order, near as I can remember!):

1976 Yamaha DOHC XS 500 Twin (brown...square fuel tank...fugly!)
1982 Yamaha Maxim 550 (many miles with the high school sweetheart on that one)
1995 HD XLH 1200 Sportster (divorce present to myself)
1980 HD FLT (made me the bike wrench I am!)
1989 HD FLHTC (sweet bike...almost kept it but I'd already ordered the >)
1998 HD FLHT (if that ol girl could talk...shoulda never sold it)
1970 HD Sportster (way too small...basket to road project)
1969 Triumph Bonneville Chopper (basket I never finished...a cursed machine)
1998 Buel S1 Lightning (what was I thinking?!? wheelie machine but uncomfortable!)
1973 Yamaha TX 500 (first DOHC street bike ever mfg'd...quick and nimble)
2003 Triumph Speedmaster (a BLAST by myself, too small for the wife and I)
2006 RSTD (can't say enough about this one. suits me and where I am to a T)

In the garage are a 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300 for touring and a 2000 Suzuki SV650 for the twisties. I had both bikes out on a five day circuit of the NY Finger Lakes with my nephews. Very refreshing!!

I have been riding since i was 11, approximately 30 years now, my last road bike was a suzuki Katana 750, but living in Fairfield county, CT i like to live so you wont catch me on the road with the crazies in their cars. Currently have a 1985 Yamaha YZ 125 with its spare engine sitting on the floor waiting to be installed.

right now, '06 hrc trx450r [quad] . my kid is riding my last one a highly modified 660 raptor.

used to ride streetbikes, last one was a 750 katana, had a couple other suzukis and a honda. had a few dirtbikes as well.

freeways are a little crazy out here in LA and when i lost vision in one eye it just got too sketchy. every time i watch the AMA or moto gp races i get tempted to go get another one and take my chances ;] thinking about test ridind a ducati, still got "m" on my license.

Default OFF-ROAD

I'm an off-road guy. My wife has a street bike, but I can't get comfortable riding on the road. I currently have '04 KTM 250EXC and also a project bike, '76 Triumph Bonneville. My wife has a Yamaha Virago 750.
