I didn't own it but my parents had it for 4 years. They leased it. It was a 01 or 02 Cadillac Catera. IN the 4 years they had it, the sunroof broke, the back shade thingy died. It went thru tires like no tomorrow, 1 set per year. Then there was the battery that kept dieing on it and it got driven daily.

You all make me feel good. Most of my vehicles have been free or under 500 dollars. Problems or not a free car is what it is... Last one I replaced earlier this year with the outback (something else having a nice car) and it had 305k on it. My sister drives it right now and has it up to 315k. She hit the 12th deer that car has hit last week going 65 on the freeway.

1974 VW Super Beetle.
I have never hated a car more than that POS. It left me stranded more times than I can count, ended up giving to my Dad who thought he would make it in to a Baha bug, (even after I told him that since it was a Super Beetle there were no parts available to do this with). |

1973 Mercury Cougar. If the car got hot the starter wouldn't work, it had mushrooms growing in the back carpet, there was no fuel filter on it when i got the car so it wouldn't go over 40 because of all the crapo in the carb, the oil pan gasket was bathroom caulk, I could never get it into time so it misfired if I stepped on it, it leaked water on me when it rained, aaaand the left rear axle fell apart when I was driving it so my car ended up on 3 wheels. That's when I got rid of it... but I loved it because it was my first car.

2001 OB WAGON. 5-SPEED GREEN ONE. Poor build quality. uneven acceleration. Oil leak between engine and tranny which smelled. We moved to So. Oregon and took it into So. Oregon Subaru for warranty work. They took it for the day and gave it back to us, saying they didn't have to do anything to it. They lied like **** to us. However, it drove much differently, leading us to believe they did SOMETHING to it. Traded it in on our 03 Murano a year and a half later at a loss. Very disappointing car considering it's reputation. Darrell.

1984 Ford Tempo auto. Gutless, noisy, unreliable and crappy mileage.
Thankfully it was stolen and written off. No, I didn't arrange it. |

1973 Chevy Vega Kammback Wagon in puke orange, with that lovely molten 141 cu in aluminum 4. I could never put it in reverse because the tranny would lock in reverse and it would require a tow to the dealer to unlock. Slow, gutless, a clutch that made my left thigh roughly twice the size of my right. Window and door seals leaked like a sieve, rust on the rocker panels and fenders, and the rear bumper kept falling off. Leaked oil, coolant, and most of the other vital fluids...
Bought it for $600, sold it a year later for $300 and bought a 1979 Ford Fiesta, which was a huge upgrade from that POS Vega. |
