Default Fire Pit protection

I'm thinking of buying a fire pit for cooler nights out on the patio.

There is a cover that comes with it for times that it is not being used, but I would like to spray it with some coating that will additionally help prevent rust and corrosion. Obviously, it will need to withstand high temps.

Building one into the ground is not an option, because being in Florida, we need it on the inside of our screened pool enclosure, which has a concrete deck.

Hoping someone here might have a suggestion.

Powder coating is about your only realistic option for something that will prevent rust and not burn off.

Ah, didn't think of that, but it would be pricey I'm guessing. The pit that I'm looking at is only $139.

Thanks for the reply.

Grill paint also works well. It won't burn off either and is a lot cheaper. You may just want to plan on repainting it every year or so.
