Lincoln and Les Miserables
Lincoln wasn't that good (in my opinion). The assassination wasn't there, for some strange reason. Not sure, why it was left out.
Les Miserables - I did not know that Sasha Cohen could play in regular role in regular movie (after seeing Borat and Bruno)....

The "Life of Pi" in 3D. I enjoyed it. It was my wife's 1st 3D movie. She said the 3D effect was good at the beginning, but at the end it was normal. The movie itself was very good, but I felt it was a little over rated. My wife commented that we should have went to see Lincoln instead. So, I don't think she thought it was as good as I thought.

We used to always stream movies at home like some others have mentioned, but recently reinstated "date nights". Thus, we've started going to see movies in theaters again. It's fun! However, we're past buying snacks at the theater.

I prefer a theater but watch plenty of movies at home. New releases that I want to see on the big screen I try to view the weekend of release. Seems like their are more cinema 'buffs' in the audience. If i wait a coupla weeks, i almost always have a bad experience - uncaring adults with noisy kids or taklative teens or cellphone users.

I have taken my middle daughter to Sci-Fi, Toy Shows/Comic Con type events and seen several movies days to weeks before release. Some were fun experiences, others not so great (Godzilla with bad sound, Small Soldiers - horrible, Deep Rising - B flick at best. But by far, the best theater experience was seeing Galaxy Quest in a theater filled with Comic Con attendees!)

I have enjoyed one Tugg event (Iron Sky) and one fathom event (a screening of Frankenstein) - real movie fans at those. I've considered sponsoring a screening of Jason and the Argonauts.

Tugg - The movies you want at your local theater

Fathom Events - Home

O yeah, Terry Gilliam from Monty Python is a decent director. you might like Time Bandits or Brazil. Baron von Munchausen was kinda fun. I also kinda liked Tidelands but, it has moments that are - um, uncomfortable to watch - mostly because of what you are expecting could happen but never does. I suppose it's about how children's innocence protects them from bad stuff. It was weird.

The Bourne Legacy

Nothing wrong with the movie itself (could have been better).

Jason has Aaron beat, and he doesn't even need the meds. Jason was just an all around BA.

I was bored last night and watched Blazing Saddles for a dumb laugh. Hard to beat classic Mel Brooks.

Work, work, work.....lol.
