OK...to start off, I am not even an Outback owner yet. I am seriously considering one as well as an Acura RDX/Honda CRV. While initial price is my biggest consideration, knowing I won't get ripped off by mechanic (total ownership cost) is also very important to me.
I am wondering if anyone here lives in the western suburbs of Philadelphia and can recommend (or warn me about) local mechanics/dealership service centers. The two closest Dealerships are Rafferty and John Kennedy but there are only a few mostly mixed reviews of their service centers online.
I have been very lucky to live near Gene's Foreign Cars that have been servicing my family's VWs and Hondas for ages but unfortunately, they don't do Subarus. Having Genes around is why I am still considering the RDX (despite fuel efficiency) and the CRV (despite boring ride).
Update: I bit the bullet and bought an Outback. Hopefully the dealership treats me right
