Thumbs down Unlisted Dealer/Reedman-Toll, Langhorne Pa.

I would have left a less than glowing review for this Dealer had they been listed in the Dealer Review drop down menu.

Dealer was not bad on the sale of my slightly used 2006 OBW 2.5i/5MT. The final deal was good, Salesman was very accommodating and the Sales Manager was more than fair.

However, the Service Department was about as unresponsive to my requests and ensuing frustration as I have ever seen. Issue with a minor pin stripe problem became major after it was redone(badly) 3 times. I finally took the car home and redid the job myself. They seemed to go out of their way to not listen or do as I asked with results that were garbage by any measure.

Fortunately, there are several other local Dealers that will be competing for any future service that I may need Subaru Auth. work to resolve. Here is to my new Subie never needing to see the inside of a Dealer Service Dept., EVER!

Go see Charlie at A&T Subaru in Sellersville. I think it would be well worth the trip. I was very please with the purchase of my pre-owned '03 Ltd Sedan. Charlie was very fair. I am sure he would ensure you got good service for your Subie.

i have found this same story true at both places i have purchased from... i'm not sure if there a disconnect between sales & service or if dealer doesn't care after they have made the initial sale

Service & Sales departments are often graded/evaluated totally separately. Some dealerships are sale-driven and just want to move units (*cough*Fucillo*cough*). Others follow the idea that if you provide quality service, people will want to buy a car from you in the future.

I was actually told "buy from dealer X, they make really good deals. But go to Y for service, because X's service is horrible." I never bought from X, but their service was indeed sub-par. These were not Subaru dealers, BTW.

What I really, really couldn't stand when I had my Dodges was the 5-Star "system". 5-star service ratings were driven almost entirely by customer surveys, and every time I was given a survey the service manager would tell me (as though he were talking to a 6 year old) "if you can't answer every one of these as a perfect 5, you tell me before you send in the survey and we'll fix it."

I actually had better experiences at non-5-Star dealers. The whole setup is rigged, IMHO.

Angry 5 Star Survey

I just got a call from my Subaru dealer salesman. He had just gotten the results of the survey that I had filled out and answered honestly. I didn't trash him, but gave less than perfect scores in some areas. Now, he's going to send me a post card with some follow up questions that will allow me to set things right (for him).

Kind of funny, my biggest criticism of the salesman is that he was too high pressure. Now, because I filled out the survey, I'm getting more pressure from him to change my survey answers. I'll probably do it since I plan to take the car back to that dealership for servicing. I live in lower Bucks PA, so my next nearest option is Reedman, which WmCraven isn't too happy about.

I don't know why Subaru doesn't keep the results anonymous. What's the point if the dealer is just going to manipulate the results any way they can?

Default Changed Service Dealership

I change my Subaru Service Dealership to Colonial Subaru in Feasterville, Pa. They are closer, more convenient, more accommodating, courteous and they smile when I come to talk to them about a problem even when they are going to do the work for free.
Shame that they could not touch the deal I got elsewhere on my 2006 OBW.

Yeah, Colonial is the dealership that I'm talking about. Generally, I think that they are good... like I said, I didn't trash them in the survey ... just less than perfect.

Anyway, probably the last time I fill out one of those stupid surveys. I didn't get anything out of it but a hassle. It's funny, initially they offered me a free tank of gas if I hand delivered the survey back to them. I decided that it would be easier for me just to fill it out on line, plus I'm sure that free gas == perfect score. I should have just taken the gas.

At Colonial I have noticed that they will say anything to make you happy but when the mechanics touch your car, prepair for scratches galor, over extended doors and broken interior peices.
