Anyone know if the capability to record is available?

Highly doubtful.

I would be agreeable and even pay extra for the capability. It would be indisputable evidence in case of a crash. I plan on installing a dash cam in next vehicle, this Eyesight System would be a natural fit, IMO.

I am most curious about the pre-collision braking aspect of the updated Eyesight system. Anyone have any ideas how it compares to Volvo's or Mercedes's system? Volvo currently has the best or at least the most tested and proven system available.

In winter 2013 I a guy on a bike rode out in front of oncoming traffic and I just happened to be the guy who hit him. Anything that could help me avoid or at least lessen such a situation is something that will sell me a new vehicle.

Last year when Consumer Reports text these systems, Subaru had the only system that actually stopped the car before hitting the (blowup) vehicle in front of it.
