As long as I put down some plywood and painters plastic, you guys think a 400lb motorcycle would fit on it's side in the back?

I'd normally look for somebody with a pickup but they live about 200mi away and I'll be driving past their place the next time I visit family that's up near them.
I imagine if you remove the handle bars (and maybe the wheels too) then it would probably fit with the seats folded down.

I imagine the most unusual, and also most ironic thing I've ever hauled in the Outback, was its replacement engine when the head-gaskets blew on the original.

At the time, it was able to drive about 45 mins or so before needing more coolant, so I drove up to the local boneyard (about 20 mins away) and picked up a rebuilt 2.5 and loaded it into the back and drove home.

In my '06 Tribeca, I frequently carried various tubas or baritone horns and/or marching bass and snare drums...I am a middle school band director

I just picked up a full size refrigerator. I hauled it on a trailer... Does that count? I'm turning this fridge into a kegerator. I do this from time to time. Last time I delivered one to someone's house, I got a lot of honks and thumbs up along the way. This particular fridge was set up for home brew kegs, and had six taps on the door!

It's not a strange load, but it's a strange location?

Should have taken one more up close so you couldn't see how shallow it was.

My recent large load was about 600 pounds of limestone, spread around the inside of the car. A friend had a new water line installed and the ground is very stony (it's right at the junction of Mill Creek and the Scioto River). Right now it's on the patio being rainwashed while waiting to go to a rain garden in New Albany.

Well, I've not used my wagon in several months, so while I've had some odd loads, they have been on my bike. Bike pics allowed?

First up is a trip home from Northern Tool and Equipment with a welder and helmet.

Second is something I did over Black Friday weekend, twice, from Lowes. Baker's racks.

I've probably the "oddest" things I've hauled in the back were large car parts.

Hauled the replacement transmission for my '00 back from RI in the hatch. Also hauled a transmission about a year ago for my friend's SAAB 9-5 in the Outback as well, coincidentally from RI as well.

I also had a engine hoist in the back when I did a clutch and overhaul on my MG Midget.

Last week we went to Leon's furniture store and saw a great reclining wingback chair...you guessed it...took it out of the box and into the back of the OB and took it ho ho home for Christmas.

Didn't take a pic...but this gives you an idea of how big it is...
