I agree. They used to be my worst fear. Growing up in Texas I was sure I would get bitten. I had the Clark guy on speed dial when I first moved to California from Alaska. Turns out I was right about getting bitten. Now I'm over it. Hey at least they don't have wings, right?

for me owning it. i had a full wardrobe cabinet thing on the roof-rack because i didnt have enough space in our tiny uhaul.
I learned while talking to the previous owner of one of my outbacks(best friends mother). It at one point during her ownership of it carried half of their flock of sheep to the their house to prevent them from drowning......which probably explains the interesting smell that imitates from the car on a hot day |

At first no one at work believed me when I told them that spiders will charge right at me like a bull at a bull fighter. At least half my co-workers have now witnessed this does happen to me and while they think it's funny I have a strong uneasiness around spiders. I recently found a Black Widow in my back yard and we don't have them here in Western WA, (it turns out my silly neighbor brought a plant up from CA that had a few on it).
Okay, on topic... Oddest load? How about 10 paintball guns and gear and well as carpet cleaning equipment. |

Technically the black widow that bit me was riding on my Outback. It had moved into the tube step of an aluminum ladder. I loaded the ladder on my car and drove to where I needed it, unloaded it bracing the edge against my midsection as I brought it down off the roof. That's when it got me on my stomach. I have spoken with a bike rider who went on a big bike trip and discovered when he got home a black widow had gone along the whole way on the underside of his seat without incident.

Maybe not too odd. I picked up about 500 lbs or so of frozen pork a few months ago. Have hogs processed each year. 500 lbs of bacon, chops, jowl bacon, sausage, brats, pork shoulder steaks, pigs feet, neck bones, skins etc.
