What is AWP?

My car title says I own a "2000 Subaru Legacy Outback AWP AWD U"

What?????

What is "AWP"?

And while we're talking about it, what's up with the "U" at the end?

Sorry if this is a noob question, but I tried to Google it, and got nothing.

Thanks

Did you buy the car used? If so, maybe the "U" is for "used"??

Never thought of that. I bet your right. At least I'm saying your right, until someone else says your wrong.

But that makes sense.

Thanks

Yeah. . .its not All Weather Package. Not sure what it is, but my 2004 says AWP as well, despite the All Weather Package ceasing to exist after 2002 (after that it was just standard equipment on all models).

So, I think it is something else, there have been discussions on this before, if you do some searching.

I'm not retarded, I just don't proofread my posts

If I'm right on that, it was only because it was a wild-a**-guess!

It is All Weather Package. And yes, it became standard in 2003, right?

Who knows, they use so many acronyms and substitute letters for numbers as a code.

Mine says 2000 Suba ... that's it. Says SW [station wagon] under body type and Outback under model.
