Default Dash Piece Question

What do you call (or even better what is the part number) for the dash pad that is right over the glove box door on a 2002 outback - The sun has killed mine and wanting to replace it. It appears to be a seperate piece

thanks

Are you talking about the Air bag cover?

no - not the airbag cover if you look on the right hand side of the photo below I am talking about the portion that is between the airbag cover and the top edge of the glove box - it is the same color as the lower portion of the dash

I know exactly of the dash piece you speak of, it's part of the padded dash. I am not sure if it is a separate piece or not, although it appears that it may be. I would like to replace this same dash part in my Outback as well as there are a couple small dimples in it.

I am thinking of just going to a junkyard to find one in decent condition.

I have a parts car, dark interior (not the tan) if you need it, holler.

it is a separate, but large piece.

I have the same problem with this dash piece. However, I can't figure out how to remove it. I have the glove box out, but this piece seems to be part of the entire top dash assembly. Do I have to remove the whole dash to separate this piece?

Thanks
