Default Improved Air intake OB98

Hey i have put a pod filter with a CAI ducted to the front bar for cold air . just wondering if i should take the black air thing that sits ontop of engine with SUBARU written on it?

Not sure what part you're talking about, can you post a picture of what you have done and what part you are referring to ?

I won't go in to the fact that most so called CAI systems actually raise IAT's ... not all of them but most of the "cone filter on a pipe" units do.

I did this to my 2007 Impreza and all it did was make the car sound like crap...absolutely no power gain, no MPG gain, just noise.

But you've gone this far, might as well remove the baffle (black thing) you're talking about and replace it with some shiny tubing and silicone sleeves.

where do i find this shiny tube and silicon sleeves? how much does it cost and what size sleeves do i use ? can i just use flexiable hose or not

I found a kit on ebay that actually made the whole thing a true CAI, not just a short ram like you've built. I don't have link on this computer, but at work I do. Shoot me an PM if I don't post the link tomorrow just as a reminder.
