Default MY 2009 subie

guys i just got a black 2009 outback a week ago, and 12+ inches of snow here in Asheville NC last night. All i can say is WOW this car is a snow monster. I have driven 4x4, and other AWD cars, and SUV, but this thing is amazing in the snow. I had been driving my aunts AWD Honda crv in the snow, and although it does go good in snow, it does have wheel spin, and tends to pull to the left, and have got stuck in the snow going up our steep driveway in the snow, well mountain i should say. This morning coming home from work there was 12 inches of snow, and the subie climbed the mountain without spinning that i could notice, now you know i had to have a little fun in the snow, and with the traction control off, i really had to make it spin and have fun. This was my first test of the Subaru AWD system and it is great. I'm not saying that it will never get stuck, but it would be hard to do i believe.

That's great! Asheville is one of my favorite places. We got around 4-5" in Nashville. I'm about to fire up the Outback today just to have fun in the snow even though I have absolutely nowhere to go today haha

I like Asheville. Yeah, the only thing that will stop an OB in the snow is: A) Tires not for the conditions and B) Getting high centered.
