Default Cargo Mat That Covers Area When Seats Are Down?

Is there a nice all weather type mat that will be a perfect fit for when the back seats are down?

I really like the one that came with Subaru but it only covers the trunk area and most of the time I have the seats down and gear back there....

Thanks

Check out japanparts.com. There is a JDM rear cargo cover that covers the back of the rest sets when the are down. I had it in my 08 STI. It works well, bu it's not cheap!

I was thinking about the same thing yesterday when vacuuming dog hair off the rear seatbacks. There are some possibilities on AutoAnything:

Cargo Liner - Cargo Liners, Cargo Mat, Cargo Mats

I'm considering ordering the Canvasback covers. There's more detail, including pics with sidewall protection on their website.

Default Truckstop Blanket $10

80mph nap on the Idaho Border.
Truckstop blanket $10.
Noticed two things, the back hatch is plastic now (good)
The Wheel wells covers are thinner (Bad)
I usually pull the rear seat bottom out and keep it in the garage.
Sure wish there was an interior hatch handle.

I just bought a rubber backed floor mat like you would put inside a business front door. Not a perfect fit, but covers all but the corners. Cheap at home depot, and when you put the seats up it just folds into the back.

Anyone come across anything else? I'm looking for something that will protect a tan interior from bike grease, etc...and preferably without a lip so that things will slide in easily.

Sorry OP & Bellafrau,

I had your thread open on my computer, leave it up to my asshat friends to comment when I m not looking.

On my last wagon, I used this which was more than big enough. I trimmed it to fit the cargo area with the seats down. When not in use, the extra just folded up neatly behind the seatbacks. It was also nice because I could have it bridge the small lip and it would make removing cargo a bit easier.

I used a 6'x8' piece of indoor/outdoor carpet I bought at Lowe's and cut it to a perfect custom fit. With the rubbery backing, it makes a very nice cargo area cover. In fact, I usually roll with the rear seats down so it's almost a permanent part of my car. I did this trick on my old WRX and liked the results so much that I did one for my Outback and my daughter's car.

Not "nice", but I used a heavy rubber pickup-truck bed mat from a Chevy S-10 pickup in my 1993 Legacy wagon and in my 2006 Outback. I never bothered, but with some effort I suppose you could cut a bed mat to fit perfectly.

The rubber bed mat was basically indestructible, and was impervious to my Rottweiler toenails and slobber, as well as any metal garden implement or other nasty thing I ever had to haul. Downside is it wasn't real pretty to look at and it was heavy to roll up and remove (I always left it in and just folded it back on itself when I raised the rear seats).
