SOA635000 what is this oil?

So I took my vehicle in to dealer for the first 6000 miles service, and since I have the Subaru added maintenance plan, the plan clearly states synthetic. Don't know why, I just don't trust the dealer and kind have some kind of bad feelings towards the service. According to the receipt, they put in 7 qt of SOA635000 in the engine. I googled, not much info, found a eBay sold history for $2.03 a unit, and elsewhere saying it's a discounted item. So, what really is SOA635000? I doubt it's synthetic. I'm kind of pissed.

From what I could see, it's OEM non-synthetic oil. In fact, everywhere I looked said it's a discontinued Subaru part number...

Why don't you just ask the dealer that put it in? Maybe it's the "easy button" they push for billing a L-O-F of this type and may not reflect the actual oil used?

If the OP suspects the dealer of cheating him it is best to go in armed with the truth before he asks questions.

I'm not disputing that, but I don't think it's within his best interests to kick in the door with guns blazing.
